Explaining faculty members’ behavioral intention to use learning management systems

Utilizing learning management system (LMS) in higher education and the factors could explain it is an emerging research field. Limited has investigated influencing adoption of LMS as a distinct e-learning well these studies mainly investigate determinants intention to use from students less point view university instructors. This study investigates that acceptance faculty members. A version technology model including five external (perceived self-efficacy, subjective norm, image, technological complexity, facilitating conditions) proposed. The sample consists 378 members 20 universities Greece who declared LMS. variance-based structural equation modeling was applied ten out thirteen hypotheses were confirmed. total explained variance behavioral estimated at 73%. Attitudes toward use, perceived usefulness, easy norm are main members’ Implications for training, educational policy, design and/or information systems discussed.
